3rd Party Risk Manager – Global Business Services
Location: Warsaw
Hybrid Model: 3 days per week from office
The strategic business objective of the AstraZeneca 3rd party risk framework is to strengthen and standardise 3rd party risk recognition and management across the AstraZeneca supply chain, protecting the organisations license to operatethrough the application of a minimum risk standard. Compliance is driven by design, adoption through an evolving user experience, supported by appropriatemonitoring,governance and controls.
The 3rd Party Risk Manager will work withbusiness colleagues,the managed service team (executing targeted due diligence)and internal risk experts to drive all risk identification and mitigation activities in relation to the 3rd Party Risk process (‘3PRM’)ensuring that these are delivered to comply with the 3PRM Standard and SOP.They willensure the process and framework continue to evolve, aligned with internal risk appetite and external threats. They will support the delivery of improvements to user experience and operational efficiency, and oversee the managed service team, providing guidance on risk treatment where required. In partnership with Finance and IT Helpdesks, and their colleagues in the 3PRM operations team, they will ensure the user support model is operated as designed.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Overseeing delivery of end-to-end service to meetrisk standards and business requirements, ensure identification and mitigation of key enterprise risks (e.g. Data Privacy, ABAC, SHE, Labour Rights, etc.)
Drive process visibility, performance and risk insights.
Identifying, driving and reporting on process and service improvement opportunities, guided by data and user feedback.
Partnering with IT in the deliveryof platform changes, upgrades and other transformation demands and opportunities.
Providing exceptional guidance to managed service team in respect of risks identified through the process – improving standard guidance as appropriate.
Engaging and partnering with global procurement, the process champions network, risk SME communityto ensure the framework remains relevant and is adopted.
Partnering with sister teams in Global Business Services to ensure the vendor onboarding process operates smoothly end to end.
Owning and driving 2nd line query management (complex queries and guidance), as assigned.
Supporting engagement, communication with / education of the user community.
Ensure effective monitoring and assurance of 3PRM engagements happen on a timely and rigorous manner, supporting operational checks, balances and controls.
Act as a brand ambassador for the 3PRM Transformation across our organisation.
Support driving and embedding a culture of ethics and integrity
Education & Experience
Essential
Degree in relevant field
Experience in Service delivery and processes in a complex, multinational, corporate environment
Thorough understanding of Procurement processes
Strong delivery, influencing/ communication skills
An ability to work and collaborate effectively in a matrix organization is essential
A self-starter with high levels of drive, energy, resilience and a desire for professional excellence
Ability to analyze/prioritse requests or issues/ changes and provide the best possible solution
Ability to make decisions in pressure situations at a management level
Desired
Experience with enterprise platforms
Experience in managing and developing 3rd party business relationships
Experience working with outsourcing partners
Technical Skills:
Essential
Moderate to high level of Excel proficiency including, pivot tables and charts, mail merge.
Familiarity with Service Now or similar ticket management systems.
Desirable
Experience of Risk Management processes, Ethics or ESG programmes.
